<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently achieve an advanced automatic image pickup function by properly changing a frequency of recording in accordance with a user's intention and a state of an image pickup apparatus while changing the frequency of image recording in automatic image recording. <P>SOLUTION: This image pickup apparatus can change and set the frequency of recording in accordance with a user's operation.
