PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish an image sensor that can effectively reduce the ghost images generated by the reflected and diffracted light. SOLUTION: In a first pixel 101 of the image sensor 10, a first microlens 161, that is a part of an array lens 16, is thick and a reflection optical path length of incident light L is long. In second and third pixels 102 and 103, on the other than, second and third pixel regions 162 and 163 of the array lens 16 are thinner than the first microlens 161, so that the reflection optical path length of incident light L is short. By providing a reflection optical path length difference, contrast in the diffracted light generated between pixels is reduced, image deterioration due to reflection and diffraction ghost is suppressed.
