PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imager with no configuration for fluctuating a pixel power supply voltage, suppressing occurrence of high luminance black crushing. SOLUTION: The solid-state imager 500 is equipped with: a plurality of pixels 50;, a plurality of vertical signal lines 105;, a current source circuit 502; a controller 508; and a plurality of column circuits 506. The current source circuit 502 supplies a first current and a second current to the plurality of vertical signal lines 105 selectively. The controller 508 controls the current source circuit 502 to supply the second current so as to set a potential of the vertical signal line 105 to a reference voltage Vref. The plurality of column circuits 506 are prepared for every column. Each column circuit 506 is equipped with: a FPN (Fixed Pattern Noise) removing circuit 100; a black crushing determining circuit 301; and a clip circuit 302. The FPN removing circuit 100 holds a difference signal corresponding to a difference between a reset voltage Vrst and a signal voltage Vsig. The black crushing determining circuit 301 determines whether the signal voltage Vsig is smaller than the reference voltage Vref. When the signal voltage Vsig is smaller than the reference voltage Vref, the clip circuit 302 replaces the difference signal held in the FPN removing circuit 100 with a clip voltage Vclip.
