PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve defects such as bumps, chipping, cracks and rippling of a bottle neck top surface, which appear around a guide ring at a glass bottle neck and a parting line of neck molds. SOLUTION: In a longitudinal section of a molding plane of the guide ring, a longitudinal straight part is formed so that it continues from a lower end of a curved part that forms an R plane extending from an outer rim of the top surface to the upper end of a side of the glass bottle neck. This increases an area of contact between the guide ring and glass, has homogenized temperature distribution within the molding plane of the guide ring and has substantially prevented the occurrence of defects such as bumps, chipping, cracks and rippling.
