PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purifying material and a purifying method for inexpensive and safe purification of soil or ground water polluted with organic halides. SOLUTION: A purifying agent is used in a method of purifying soil or ground water polluted with organic halides and includes a yeast fermentation concentrate.
