PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cam type slide driving device capable of preventing occurrence of a gap between a cam and a cam follower. SOLUTION: In the cam type slide driving device 10, a slider 20 linearly moves between a bottom dead center and a top dead center by the receiving of slide driving force from a cam 14 via cam followers 30A, 30B, and a punch 15 processes a workpiece at the side of the bottom dead center. Then, the device is provided with: a linear movement supporting mechanism 38 supporting the cam follower 30A at the top dead center side to the supporting confronted part 21 of the slider 20 so as be linearly movable; and a linear movement actuator 40 for constantly abutting the pair of the cam followers 30A, 30B on the cam 14 while biasing the cam follower 30A at the top dead center side to the bottom dead center side by biasing force higher than the maximum value of the slide driving force applied to the slider 20 by the cam 14.
