<p>The present invention relates to in-line coating of a continuously moving substrate, such as a tube or conduit, preferably of the type used for applications such as fire sprinkler piping. The present invention includes a fire sprinkler pipe defining an interior wall surface surrounding an interna! pathway. The interior surface is coated with a coating that reduces the degradation of the interior surface and provides a barrier between the interior surface and fluid within the pathway to resist degradation of the interior surface over the life of the tube or conduit.</p>
