PURPOSE: A signal receiving apparatus of a UWB(Ultra WideBand) system and a method thereof are provided to acquire a signal in a multiple paths channel environment in order to have high detection probability. CONSTITUTION: A parallel correlation unit(120) multiplies a reception signal and a reference signal in which the time is delayed. The parallel correlation unit outputs a power value with which the multiplied result signal is integrated. A first signal acquiring unit(130) extracts one or more power values. A second signal acquiring unit(140) measures the power value consisting of the greatest value from the first signal acquiring unit.
