<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce shifting in respective images when images formed on a plurality of image carriers are transferred to a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU28 determines whether or not phase differences expressed by respective phase differences information items are threshold D or more that is stored to memory 26 beforehand. The threshold D used here, for example, is the phase difference which is equivalent to 1/4 cycle of a main scanning reference signal SOS. When one of the phase differences is less than the threshold, the CPU28 delays the amount of shifting for a sub-scanning synchronized signal that corresponds to the phase difference which is less than the threshold D, by "T/2", that is, delays the sub-scanning synchronizing signal by T/2. For instance, when the phase difference between the main scanning reference signals SOS#1 and SOS#2 is less than the threshold D, the CPU28 sets the amount of shifting for the sub-scanning synchronizing signals supplied to an image processing section 22b to T/2 on the basis of these SOS#1 and SOS#2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
