METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING CONTENT DISTRIBUTION, APPARATUS TO BE USED FOR THE SYSTEM, AND PROGRAM FOR THE APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent diffusion of fraudulently used content, by specifying not only an individual fraudulently used content but also a distribution source of the fraudulently used content.

SOLUTION: A monitoring condition is distributed and stored from a center server SV to a plurality of network apparatuses NT1 to NTm having monitoring functions. Then, when the network apparatuses NT1 to NTm transfer a content, it is determined whether the content coincides or is included with/in content to be monitored by comparing feature information specified by the monitoring condition, and the determined result is reported to the center server SV together with a time stamp as information expressing a monitoring result. Then, the center server SV determines derivation (copy) relation among a plurality of pieces of content based on monitoring results reported from the respective network apparatuses NT1 to NTm, and creates a directed graph expressing relation among the content in time-sequential order based on the determined result.
