PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more effective arrangement which supports a watch movement within a watch case, with providing an effective protection for shock and vibration. SOLUTION: An arrangement for protecting the watch movement from shock and vibration includes a plurality of shock absorbers 2 for mounting the watch movement within the case 10. The shock absorber includes a plurality of independent portions 21, 22 adapted for absorbing the energy from shock and vibration in different portion of the wave number spectrum. The rigidity of the shock absorber can be adjusted from outside of the watch.
