PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start measurement preparation without depending on release from an operation part, when a measurement request arrives at an analysis unit in a temporary waiting state because the analysis unit has no analysis request, during operation of an automatic analyzer, concerning an automatic analyzer or an automatic analyzer having a specimen pretreatment device connected thereto. SOLUTION: When performing analysis request to an analysis unit in a temporary waiting state with no analysis request, concerning one analysis unit among analysis units, during operation of the automatic analyzer constituted of a plurality of analysis units, measurement preparation can be performed by detection by each specimen rack input port, the specimen pretreatment device or an electrolyte analyzer.
