PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-cleaning socket for testing package components. SOLUTION: The present self-cleaning socket for testing package components has a central chamber formed by providing a mounting base with surrounding walls of which two opposed walls have lateral channels passing therethrough, respectively. Each of the lateral channels has a tapered tube in the middle thereof, and the tapered tube is further connected radially to two bypass tubes. The chamber is communicated with the tapered tube through the two bypass tubes. Thus, when a pressure source is applied to one end of the lateral channel, an increase in flow velocity of gases inside the tapered tube during passage of the gases through the tapered tube causes a drop in pressure inside of the bypass tubes connected radially thereto, thus creating suction power inside of the chamber to form a cleaning function. Therefore, the socket serves as a real-time self-cleaning socket for testing packages that eliminates the need to stop a tester or suspend execution of a manufacturing process, brings about an improvement in production efficiency, and brings about a reduction in cost.
