PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pair of stockings the sizes of all of the patterns of which become equal when worn, so as to fully exert effect for making the legs of a wearer look slim. SOLUTION: The stocking is structured as follows: a plurality of the same kinds of patterns are longitudinally arranged on a part tightly attached to the leg of the wearer in a line at almost the same intervals, focusing attention to the fact that a lateral stretching amount is extremely large compared with a lengthwise stretching amount when worn. The lateral width of each of the patterns is set to get gradually smaller, in view of each stretching amount when each of the patterns stretches laterally as the leg part of the wearer becomes thick.
