<p>A metering pump with a special-shaped cavity comprises a shell (1), a rotor and two cover plates (12, 22). The shell is a column with a special-shaped inner cavity, an inlet (2) and an outlet (3). The special-shaped inner cavity is formed by combining arc surfaces with non-arc surfaces. The rotor is composed of a rotor body (5) and two pairs of combined sliding plates (6, 7). The rotor body (5) is a cylinder on which a transmission shaft (9), a centering shaft (10) and cross guiding grooves (19, 20) are manufactured. The combined sliding plates (6, 7) are mounted in the guiding grooves (19, 20). The cover plates (12, 22) are flat plates on which bearing holes (13, 14) are manufactured. Both end surfaces of the shell (1) are matched with the cover plates (12, 22) to form a sealing cavity in which the rotor is matched with the bearing holes (13, 14) in the cover plates (12, 22) by means of the transmission shaft (9) and the centering shaft (10). An external driving force couple acts on the transmission shaft (9) to rotate the rotor. When the rotor rotates, the non-arc surfaces of the special-shaped inner cavity enable the two pairs of combined sliding plates (6, 7) to slide in a cross manner so as to suck in the fluid from the inlet (2) and press the fluid out of the outlet (3). Four standard volumes are formed in the cavity when the rotor makes one turn, and the same amount of fluid flows through the cavity every time the rotor makes one turn. The flow of the fluid is calculated by counting the turns of the rotor.</p> |
