MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY AND IMMUNOASSAY USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-human immunoglobulin M monoclonal antibody which reacts specifically with human immunoglobulin M to form an immunoaggregate through the antigen-antibody reaction with the human immunoglobulin M in a solution state; an immunoassay using the monoclonal antibody; an inhibitor which inhibits a non-specific reaction induced by human immunoglobulin M which cannot be inhibited by the conventional techniques; and an immunoassay in which a non-specific reaction induced by human immunoglobulin M is inhibited.

SOLUTION: In the selection of a monoclonal antibody reacting with human immunoglobulin M, the novel monoclonal antibody is obtained by employing the reactivity in a solution state as an evaluation index. The monoclonal antibody can agglutinate human immunoglobulin M by itself and enables a practical immunoagglutination assay.
