LED LIGHT SOURCE UNIT, PLANAR LIGHTING DEVICE, AND SIGNBOARD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED light source unit capable of efficiently performing uniform planer light emission of a light guide plate and facilitating assembling to the light guide plate.

SOLUTION: The LED light source unit includes a case 5 opened at one side, and a lid 20. A plurality of LEDs 4, each of which faces outward, are arranged at an approximately circumferential state in the case 5. The case 5 and the lid 20 are mounted on the light guide plate 2 so as to hold the periphery of a hole 31 formed with the case 5 and the lid 20 on the light guide plate 2, and the LEDs 4 are opposite to an inner side face 31a of the hole 31 of the light guide plate 2 at the time of mounting of the case and the lid.
