<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an RFID tag having a sensor function and an RFID system using the RFID tag, for communicating ID information and sensor information by achieving the sensor function without supplying drive power, while allowing the use of an existing general tag IC. <P>SOLUTION: An RFID tag 3 having the sensor function includes a tag IC 6 and a sensitive passive element 5. The tag IC 6 modulates an RF signal transmitted from an RFID reader 2 with the ID information. The sensitive passive element 5 has characteristics which is changed in response to a sensing object, and changes an RF signal propagation characteristics. With this configuration, the sensor function can be added to the existing RFID tag without a voltage converter, and as compared to the conventional products, component cost, mounting cost and mounting area can be reduced.
