<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp a state of a heat-insulation part of an expansion joint more appropriately. <P>SOLUTION: The heat-insulation part 31 of the expansion joint 30 is provided with a plurality of thermal fuses. Each of the thermal fuses has a tip including a terminal electrically connectable from the outside, and is broken at a predetermined temperature or higher. In use of the expansion joint 30, it can be detected whether or not the temperature fuse is broken, by electrically connecting a tester to any one of a connection terminal out of a connection terminal group 41. It is detected that the heat insulation part 31 is not the predetermined temperature or higher when no thermal fuse is broken, and it is detected that the heat insulation part 31 is at the predetermined temperature or higher when any one of the temperature fuse is broken. When the heat insulation part reaches a temperature where any one of the temperature fuses is broken, it is determined that a heat insulation function of the heat insulation part 31 on an exhaust side is degraded, from the arrangement position of the temperature fuse. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
