PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce deviation in timing imaged between an image in which a predetermined pattern is projected on a target object and the image in which the predetermined pattern is not projected. SOLUTION: In a projector, transition is repeatedly performed between a pattern projection state for projecting a predetermined pattern and a pattern non-projection state for performing non-projection. An imaging device includes: a photoelectric conversion part for receiving the reflected light of an object to generate a charge; a charge storing part during pattern projection for storing the charge generated by the photoelectric conversion part during the pattern projection state; a charge storing part during pattern non-projection for storing the charge generated by the photoelectric conversion part during the pattern non-projection state; a pattern projection image generating part for generating an image of the object to which the predetermined pattern is projected by reading the charge stored in the charge storing part during pattern projection; and a pattern non-projection image generating part for generating an image of the object to which the predetermined pattern is not projected by reading the charge stored in the charge storing part during pattern non-projection.
