PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wrong mounting preventing method of a UV lamp insulator capable of leading a worker to mount a UV lamp insulator on a UV lamp insulator mounting part without mistakes, and preventing wrong mounting of another UV lamp insulator not expected to be mounted. SOLUTION: In the wrong mounting preventing method of a UV lamp insulator of an ultraviolet irradiation device with the UV lamp insulator mounting part installed for mounting the UV lamp insulator in free detachment, the UV lamp insulator of a different outer dimension is to be prepared for each UV lamp insulator of a different kind, and at the same time, the UV lamp insulator mounting part, formed at a mounting size capable of mounting a UV lamp insulator in correspondence with its outer dimension, is prepared for each UV lamp insulator of a different outer dimension, so that, when a UV lamp insulator to be used is selected, a UV lamp insulator mounting part mountable in correspondence with the outer dimension of the selected UV lamp insulator for each ultraviolet irradiation device is selected, and the selected UV lamp insulator mounting part is installed to the ultraviolet irradiation device.
