PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a neutralization apparatus in which a discharge unit with a discharge needle to make maintenance of the discharge needle easy is detachable from a housing having a fan, capable of detecting whether the discharge unit is attached, while miniaturizing the apparatus. SOLUTION: A discharge needle 41 and a counter electrode 42 are held in an insulating unit case 43, to constitute a discharge unit 44 together with the unit case 43. A unit attaching part which allows the discharge unit 44 to be detachable is formed at a housing 13. At the housing 13 (unit attaching part), a first terminal 34a and a second terminal 34b are provided so as to be electrically connected with a contact piece 42a provided to the discharge unit 44 when the discharge unit 44 is attached.
