PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering column device which can apply a pushing force to a jacket in a stabilized state and enabling a smooth operation of an operation lever and a smooth operation of the adjustment of a steering shaft position at releasing a lock. SOLUTION: Jacket guides 3 are provided at both the edges along the axial direction of the jacket bracket 40, respectively, equipped with elastic portions 30d, 32, located opposite to the jacket bracket 40 at the upper edge part and lower edge while applying pushing forces therefrom, so that the jacket bracket 40 is given a relatively large pushing force from an upper part upon locking, and a relatively small pushing force from a lower part upon releasing the lock.
