PURPOSE:To make it possible to automatically assemble modular tools and to improve workability and safety by providing a captioned device with a tool storage device capable of being positioned at an assembly position, tool stocker, traversing device, and assembly head. CONSTITUTION:When a turn table 12 is turned and a holder module (a) is positioned at an assembly position 17, an assembly head 6 is lowered to hold a tool holder 24, brought near to the tool holder module (a) and then is raised extracting it. In the next step, when a blade section module (c) is positioned at the assembly position 17, the assembly head 6 is lowered again to engage the blade module (c) with the holder module (a). Then, a bolt is clamped with the clamp shaft 40 of a nut runner 37 by an air cylinder 41 to fix the two modules. The assembled tool is extracted from a tool holder 13, brought in a tool stocker 2 by a traveling device 5, and supplied to a machine tool according to machining order. These movements are controller by a control device 7 according to machining program. |
