PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a compound lens with high production efficiency by combining a hard-to-work material with an easy-to-work material while maintaining characteristics of the hard-to-work material so as to improve workability. SOLUTION: The method includes: a forming step (S3) of heating and pressing a glass raw material 14 to be an optical functional part and a sapphire substrate 10 to be a substrate to obtain a bonded body 16; and a working step (S4) of working at least the glass raw material 14 after the forming step to form an optical functional face 15.
