PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for storing apparatus information on a communication apparatus connected to a communication device, in the communication device. SOLUTION: The communication device 1 includes: an apparatus information database 18 storing in advance an apparatus information record including apparatus information on a communication apparatus 2 that is likely to be connected to the communication device 1 and key information in a packet from the communication apparatus 2; and an apparatus information database 14 storing an apparatus information record including apparatus information on a communication apparatus 2 connected to the communication device 1. The communication device retrieves the apparatus information record including the key information in the packet from the communication apparatus 2 connected to the communication device 1 from the apparatus information database 18, reads out the apparatus information from the retrieved apparatus information record, and stores the apparatus information record including the apparatus information, in the apparatus information database 14.
