PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel pump control device for an internal combustion engine capable of suppressing vapor generation in a high-pressure fuel pump.
SOLUTION: In the high-pressure fuel pump 32, when a temperature of a portion applied with high-pressure fuel reaches a high temperature beyond a predetermined temperature, the feed pressure of a low-pressure fuel pump 20 supplying fuel to the high-pressure fuel pump 32 is increased. By increasing the feed pressure of the low-pressure fuel pump 20, fuel pressure taken into the pressurization chamber 35 of the high-pressure fuel pump 32 is increased. As a result, even if fuel pressure is reduced in a suction stroke in the pressurization chamber 35, fuel pressure is hardly reduced to such fuel pressure that vapor is generated. Therefore, it is possible to suppress vapor generation.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
