PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting element head which can more correctly obtain light quantity correcting value data of each LED and has less variation of an emission light quantity.

SOLUTION: The light emitting element head 14 includes: a light emitting element array 63 with a plurality of LEDs arranged in an array shape in a main scan direction; a rod lens array 64 for forming an electrostatic latent image by imaging an optical output of the light emitting element array 63 and exposing a photoreceptor applied on a surface of a photoreceptor drum 12; and a driving part which is mounted on a circuit board 62, and acquires the light quantity correcting value data generated by a measured light quantity value via both a passing member with a refractive index of the same level as a refractive index of the photoreceptor and an integrating sphere that diffuses the light passed through the passing member, thereby making the light emitted by correcting a light quantity of the LED on the basis of the light quantity correcting value data.
