<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate a loss generated by the intersection of waveguides. <P>SOLUTION: When a waveguide of a second TE signal outputted from an optical coupler 10a intersects a waveguide of first local light outputted from an optical coupler 20a at a waveguide intersecting part 40 and a waveguide of a second TM signal outputted from an optical coupler 10b intersects a waveguide of first local light outputted from an optical coupler 20b at a waveguide intersecting part 40, a waveguide of a first TE signal outputted from the optical coupler 10a, a waveguide of second local light outputted from the optical coupler 20a, a waveguide of second local light outputted from the optical coupler 20b and a waveguide of the first TE signal outputted from the optical coupler 10b are, respectively, provided with loss compensation intersecting waveguides 50a to 50d. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
