PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer of rewritable labels in which good print quality can be ensured without being affected by the state of a transport container or the state of the transportation. SOLUTION: The printer 10 includes a laser marker 11 which irradiates a laser beam to a rewritable label 32 stuck on a folding container 31 located at a predetermined position, a slide cylinder 13 which adjusts the position of the laser marker 11 for the rewritable label 32 stuck on the folding container 31 located at a predetermined position, a distance sensor 12 which measures the distance between the rewritable label 32 stuck on the folding container 31 located at a predetermined position and the laser marker 11, and a control unit 14 which controls the slide cylinder 13 so that the optimal print position of the laser beam is located at the rewritable label 32 based on the distance measured by the distance sensor 12.
