PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a relief valve with simple structure having variously settable flow rate characteristics. SOLUTION: A valve body 4 of the relief valve 1 includes: a shaft 6 entering a high pressure port 3 from an oil chamber 2; and a flange-like valve plate 7 integral with the shaft 6. A spring 8 elastically holds the valve body 4 at a position where the valve plate 7 closes an opening part of the high pressure port 3. According to a lift of the valve body 4 from the opening part of the high pressure port 3, a passage 9 passing through a hollow part of the shaft 6 makes the high pressure port 3 communicate with the oil chamber 2. The passage 9 is opened to the high pressure port at an end of the shaft 6, and communicates with the oil chamber 2 through a pair of first opening parts 10A opened to an outer periphery of the shaft 6 at intervals of 180°and a pair of second opening part 10B opened to other positions of the outer periphery of the shaft 6 at intervals of 180°. Provision of the opening parts 10A and 10B expands the flexibility in setting of an opening area increase rate with respect to a lift amount. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
