PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a mold made of a metal by using a resin mold whose adhesion with a board is good, and whose removal from the mold made of the metal is easy. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method for the mold made of the metal includes a process (I) in which a resin (A) which contains a constituent unit (a) being derived from a vinyl monomer containing a glycidyl group and a constituent unit (b) containing no glycidyl group, and contains 0 to 10 pts.wt. of a constituent unit being derived from a crosslinking agent is applied on the board, and a resin layer is formed; a process (II) in which the resin mold is manufactured by heat-transferring a master mold onto the surface of the resin layer, wherein the resin layer of the resin mold has an epoxy value of which the variation amount from the epoxy value of the resin (A) is 5% or lower, thus the resin mold of this constitution is manufactured; a process (III) in which a metal layer is formed on the resin mold; and a process (IV) in which the mold made of the metal is obtained by heating the resin mold on which the metal layer has been formed to a temperature at the glass transition temperature or higher, or dipping the resin mold in a solvent to separate the resin mold.
