PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which simplifies measurement necessary for color correction by acquiring images and performing measurement for color correction with one imaging apparatus and improves precision of color correction at the same time. SOLUTION: In a single-plate, color two-dimensional imaging element 101, on-chip color filter processing is not applied to parts other than the valid pixel area 102 of a light receiving surface and the element 101 has a monochrome pixel area 104 on which an optical filter is mounted. It also has an optical black pixel area 103 for obtaining a black reference signal. A light shielding film 305 is applied to the optical black pixel area 103, and the light shielding film 305 is not applied to the effective pixel area 102 or the monochrome pixel area 104. The color correction coefficient is determined on the basis of a signal from the monochrome pixel area 104 of the single-plate, color two-dimensional imaging element 101 to perform color correction of a signal from the effective pixel area 102 of the single-plate, color two-dimensional imaging element 101 by the color correction coefficient.
