The present invention relates to the use of novel fermentation and chromatographic procedures separately and jointly for the production of recombinant TNK-tPA, a thrombolytic agent in biologically active form from fluids, especially mammalian host cell culture supernatants. The recovery via the novel procedures can be very pertinent in downstream processing.
