The method involves precontrolling an input parameter e.g. target load pressure, by a precontroller depending on a desired value of the input parameter, where the precontroller controls a bypass-ventil (105) and a compressor (104). The input parameter is regulated by a regulator i.e. proportional-integral regulator, depending on an actual value of the input parameter and the desired value of the input parameter, where the regulator controls the bypass-ventil and/or the compressor and/or a compressor drive i.e. electric motor (102). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for controlling and/or regulating an input parameter of an internal-combustion engine, comprising a precontroller (2) a program comprising a set of instructions for performing a method for controlling and regulating an input parameter of an internal combustion engine.
