<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the long term operation of a heterogeneously catalysed gas phase partial oxidation of propene in order to form acrolein. <P>SOLUTION: A gas mixture (G) consisting of molecular oxygen, inert gas, and optionally steam, is introduced through the fixed catalyst bed at 250-550°C by increasing over time the temperature of a fixed heterogenous catalyst bed in which acrolein is produced from propene, and interrupting the gas phase partial oxidation at least once in 4,000 hour. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
