PLASMA DISPLAY DEVICE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of alleviating power consumption of a PDP device, with degradation of its brightness characteristics restrained. SOLUTION: A phosphor film 8 of the plasma display device having a discharge space formed between a front plate and a rear-face plate set in opposition with discharge gas filled inside, with the rear-face plate equipped with the phosphor film in contact with the discharge space is structured as follows. The phosphor film 8 consists of a phosphor 23 emitting visible light by being excited by ultraviolet rays and a charged material of a positive charge with charge characteristics larger than those of the phosphor, and the charged material is structured of a charged material 21 as powder component mixed in the phosphor and a charged material 22 as a component coated on the surface of the phosphor 23. Further, such a structure is formed by a manufacturing method for mixing and annealing carbonate of the charged material with the phosphor 23. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
