PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle capable of sufficiently supplying hot air heated by a heating heat exchanger to an air-conditioning duct for a rear seat, in the air conditioner for the vehicle having an air-conditioning unit for arranging an air mix part in an upper part for mixing the hot air heated by the heating heat exchanger and cold air cooled by a cooling heat exchanger and the air-conditioning duct for the rear seat connected to a lower part of the air-conditioning unit. SOLUTION: The heating heat exchanger 62 is arranged so that an air inflow surface extends in the vehicle longitudinal direction under the air mix part 39 in the air-conditioning unit 3. The air-conditioning unit 3 has a duct 75 for constituting a hot air passage 79. A wall part of the duct 75 is formed so as to cover an upper part of the heating heat exchanger 62, and a hot air blowout port 83 is formed in the wall part.
