PURPOSE: An assembling method of a locking device for a seat track of a vehicle is provided to prevent too large gap from becoming formed between a guide flange and a lock flange since while a guide bracket is assembled to a lock bracket, the guide flange and the lock flange maintain a tight contact state. CONSTITUTION: An assembling method of a locking device for a seat track of a vehicle comprises the next steps. A coupling pin(70) passes through a pair of guide flanges(55,55') and a pair of lock flanges(61,61') to temporarily couple a guide bracket(50) to a lock bracket. The head(73) of the coupling pin, one guide flange and one lock flange, which make contact with the head, are integrally fixed. The other guide flange and the other lock flange, which are not fixed to the head, make tight contact with each other. The tight contact state of the other guide flange and the other lock flange is maintained by the processing of the end of the coupling pin. The fixed state of the head of the coupling pin, said one guide flange, and said one lock flange is cancelled. |
