Towed load-bearing assembly of the trailer type for transporting, loading and offloading a foldable flooring element intended for spanning gaps and towed by so-called heavy vehicles, in particular armoured military vehicles, characterised in that it is composed of a load-bearing plane 20 formed from two longitudinal members 9 and 10, of two central cross-members 11 and 12 and of two telescopic cross-members 13 and 14 as well as a handling device comprising two vertical lifting and damping jacks 24 and 25 and two horizontal inclining jacks 28 and 29 in a crossed arrangement with respect to their median longitudinal line so as to incline ramps of the flooring element into the couched horizontal position by thrusting on the edge profile.
