<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recyclable epoxy resin composition containing a plant biomass as a resin skeleton, and to provide various products thereof prepared using a curing agent. <P>SOLUTION: A phenolic hydroxyl group or an alcoholic hydroxyl group in a biomass has been reacted with an acid chloride contained in an acid anhydride to newly synthesize a biomass-derived acid anhydride, and the product is used as a curing agent. A biomass-derided epoxy resin composition is formed from the curing agent and various epoxy resins. Resultant cured products are excellent in heat resistance. The epoxy resin cured products are decomposed through a known depolymerization under normal pressure owing to its ester structure, so that the biomass as an original raw material can be recovered. In addition, the biomass, which has alcoholic and phenolic hydroxyl groups, can be recycled to a raw material of epoxy resin compositions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
