<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive capable of suppressing a reduction in recording or reproducing quality on an optical disk when step-out occurs. <P>SOLUTION: In disk loading, an aberration correction lens is moved to a reference position by using a position sensor, and then aberration correction adjustment is performed. After the end of the disk loading, the optical disk drive moves the aberration correction lens to the reference position by using the position sensor again. In the aberration correction adjustment, a pulse counter provided to manage the number of pulses applied to a stepping motor from the time of setting the aberration correction lens in the reference position is set to 0 in the reference position, a pulse counter value is recorded in an appropriate lens correction position after the aberration correction adjustment and, thereafter, with the pulse counter value set as a reference, the aberration correction lens is positioned by managing the number of applied pulses. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
