PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security system for properly notifying a user of abnormality according to the situations of the user, when entering of a person into a monitoring region is detected. SOLUTION: The security system is provided with: a sensor terminal having a detection section for detecting a person who has infiltrated in the peripheral monitoring area of a building and an identification section for identifying whether the person is a legal user; and a notification terminal having a display section for notifying a user of the detection information acquired by the sensor terminal and an operation section for inputting a notifying operation by the user. The security system is further provided with an action monitoring section for monitoring the acting state of the user in a building; a storage section for storing the current acting state of the user who stays in the building; and a monitoring control section for selectively executing first warning processing to, when the intrusion of any person other than the user into the monitoring area is detected by the sensor terminal, transmit the detection information to the external monitoring center based on the acting state of the user who stays in the building and second warning processing to notify the user of the detection information by the notification terminal, and when receiving the notifying operation, to transmit the detection information to the monitoring center.
