PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator with uniform illumination intensity and improved visibility in a refrigerator interior. SOLUTION: The refrigerator includes: a refrigerating compartment formed in a refrigerator body; a door for opening and closing a front opening of the refrigerating compartment; door pockets provided in a plurality of numbers in the vertical direction on the door on the inner side of the refrigerating compartment for storing foods; refrigerator interior shelves provided in a plurality of numbers in the vertical direction of the refrigerating compartment for placing foods; light emitting diodes provided in a plurality of numbers in front and rear rows in the depth direction on the upper face in the refrigerating compartment; and a reflecting member provided in the rear of the refrigerating compartment and in the rear of the refrigerator interior shelves. The front row light emitting diodes are provided to be positioned above or in front of a gap between front ends of the refrigerator interior shelves and end faces of the door pockets, the rear row light emitting diodes are provided to be positioned to include a rear end of the refrigerator interior shelf at the top stage to be within an irradiation angle of the light emitting diodes, and the width of the reflecting member is smaller than that of the arrangement of the plurality of light emitting diodes.
