<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having a plurality of beams, wherein an APC for each of light emitting elements is highly frequently performed even when an incident light amount of each beam on a PD is small, and also the incident light amount is varied. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a plurality of light emitting points 101, and forms an image on the photoreceptor by scanning with a plurality of light beams emitted from the light emitting points. The image forming apparatus includes: a detecting means 102 disposed in a light incident position of a part of each of the plurality of light beams, for detecting the light amount of each of the incident light beams; and an adjusting means 120 for successively turning on the plurality of light emitting points in time series, and adjusting the light amount of each of the light beams emitted from the light emitting points based on the light amount detected by the detecting means. The adjusting means is configured to successively turn on the first light emitting point and the second light emitting point among the plurality of light emitting points in time series, and make the light amount adjusting time for the first light emitting point differ from that for the second light emitting point upon the light amount adjustment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
