PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional mist generator capable of generating functional mist which holds an effective component of high concentration. SOLUTION: The functional mist generator includes a pressurization part 11 for injecting gas in a liquid under pressure to generate a gas-liquid mixed solution wherein gas bubbles having a nanometer size is mixed with the liquid, a discharge part 3 for generating discharge in the gas held to the state pressurized in the pressurization part 11, a voltage applying part 4 for applying high voltage to the discharge part 3 and a mist generating part 9 for further forming the functional solution, which comprises the gas-liquid mixed solution formed by injecting the gas generating the effective component by discharge in the liquid under pressure, into mist.
