PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus capable of achieving secured communication independently for each of isochronous channels. SOLUTION: In the communication apparatus, a sync issues channel notification indicating an isochronous channel to be secured to a source, and then, issues a request of authentication. Upon receiving the request of authentication, the source initiates a session according to AKE for a DTCP layer 113 as the sync while utilizing the authentication function of a secret gamut DTCP processing part 1084 of an IT processing part 108 being assigned an isochronous channel which is indicated by the channel notification received from the sync of the request source of authentication and a key setting function. As a result of this, an encryption key of the isochronous channel to be secured is set to the secret gamut DTCP processing part 1084 of the only IT processing part 108 to which the isochronous channel of a channel number indicated by the channel notification is assigned.
