<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism capable of performing billing processing, collection of print logs and control of the printing number of sheets that are achieved by using an IC card. <P>SOLUTION: A server which stores user information in association with charge information transmits, according to user information transmitted from the printer, first charge information stored in association with this user information to the printer. The printer reads, from a storage medium storing the user information, the user information and second charge information stored in the storage medium, transmits the user information to the server to thereby acquire first charge information associated with the user information and stored in the server, accepts a selection to use one of the first charge information and the second charge information, and executes printing by using the first charge information or second charge information identified by the selection accepted by the charge information use selection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
