<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily discriminate whether a loaded toner container is a genuine product. <P>SOLUTION: When the toner container is pulled out and loaded again, a control part makes an RFID communication part start radio communication. When the RFID communication part receives a reply signal from a radio tag attached to the toner container, a toner container discrimination part compares signal strength of the reply signal transmitted from the radio tag which is detected by a strength detection circuit with signal strength which is stored in a signal strength storage part. When the signal strength is the same between both of them, the toner container discrimination part determines that the loaded toner container is the genuine product. When the signal strength is different between both of them or when the RFID communication part can not receive the reply signal transmitted from the radio tag, the toner container discrimination part determines that the loaded toner container is a non-genuine product, and the control part makes a display panel display a warning message to inform a user that the non-genuine toner container is loaded. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
