PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plated steel sheet for laser lap welding capable of smoothly releasing gas originating from a plated layer generated at a lapped part by laser welding to the outside with a simple means.

SOLUTION: In the plated steel sheet to which the laser lap welding is applied, a plurality of grooves 4 crossing a welding direction are arranged at the inner surface of the lapped part 3 of the plated steel sheet 1, and the grooves 4 are formed to have raised parts 5 at the periphery by plastic-working the surface of the plated steel sheet 1. An interval D between the grooves 4 is a distance where the raised parts 5 of the adjacent grooves 4 interfere with each other.
